Secure Connect allows developers and designers to connect with third-party automotive applications (Automotive Grade Linux, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay) for proper automotive-grade testing within a fixed environment, focusing on secure connectivity protocols and robust data analytics.

Problem
Testing automotive applications in uncontrolled environments often introduces Inconsistent results due to hardware and software fragmentation. Limited visibility into secure connectivity protocols created complex testing workflows that slowed developer productivity
Panasonic required a platform that would streamline testing, ensure compliance, and make highly technical processes accessible to developers and QA teams.
Goals
To create a clean, intuitive interface for accessing multiple developer tools that will guide users through complex workflows without overwhelming them. Provide analytics and insights from testing data in a clear and digestible format, ensuring the platform complies with automotive-grade security standards.
Process & Approach
I started by designing low-fidelity wireframes to define the hierarchy and navigation, and grouped tools into clear sections, such as API Automation, Vehicle Analysis, Deployment, and Data Insights. I prioritized task-based layouts to guide developers step by step, and ensured that users could move between tools without losing context.
Interaction Flows
Created flows to map out key tasks for Processing & Reviewing Data, which involves organizing raw inputs into actionable insights. Deployed test environments that guided users through WebSphere, Liberty, and Tomcat setup, helping automate API Testing, and Integrating Rational® Test Workbench to simplify execution.
Visual Exploration
Designed multiple variations of layouts to test Different ways of presenting technical content without overwhelming users, and determined the approach to balance data-heavy analytics with clear readability for a visual hierarchy that keeps critical actions upfront while allowing deeper dives into technical documentation when needed.
